Saturday Events

Every Saturday, “Missionary Saturdays” gathers teens, young adults, adults, and families to share in the missionary work of Jesus Christ at Christ the Redeemer Parish in Grand Terrace (12745 Oriole Ave, Grand Terrace, CA 92313). Rooted in the Lord’s promise, “Whoever believes in me will do the works that I do, and will do greater ones than these” (John 14:12), this apostolic ministry brings the Good News to some of the most vulnerable in our Diocese. Led and accompanied by seminary formators and seminarians, the morning intentionally lives out the five dimensions of formation: spiritual, intellectual, human, communal, and pastoral.

Welcome

We believe LOVE is at the heart of every disciple.

All are welcome, individuals, families, parish groups, and friends. No RSVP is needed; simply show up, and we will help you find a team and a ministry for the day. We can sign service‑hours forms for students.

Bring a hungry stomach and a hungry heart, and let the Lord form you as a missionary disciple while you bring His love to others.

Go out to Serve

(Pastoral dimension)

In small groups, individuals and families are sent to one ministry for the morning, according to comfort level and interest:

• Visit a rehabilitation center to spend time with patients and pray with them.

• Visit a rehabilitation center to bring Holy Communion to Catholic patients.

• Visit our Catholic cemetery to accompany those visiting deceased loved ones.

• Go door to door among parish neighbors to visit and offer a friendly presence.

• (Pending) Visit and speak with unhoused/homeless neighbors, providing food and care items.

Young Adult Event

(2nd & Last Saturdays)

Twice a month, young adults are invited to gather with our seminarians for an evening of formation and real conversation. From 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. in the Christ the Redeemer Conference Room, we share a time of catechesis, open discussion, and faith‑sharing that connects the Gospel to the real questions and struggles of young adult life.
