Discernment Evenings (Every Thursday)

Discover Your vocation

Every Thursday (Ages 12+) is an evening to pray, connect, and grow in discernment alongside our seminarians. We begin at 5 p.m. in the church with a Holy Hour and Vespers, lifting up our Diocese and vocations before the Lord in the Blessed Sacrament. At 6 p.m., everyone is invited to a free, family‑style dinner where you can meet seminarians, other discerners, and friends in a relaxed atmosphere.

From 7 p.m. to 9 p.m., the night continues in two parallel tracks. Men are invited to the field and gym for sports (soccer, basketball, volleyball, flag football, ping pong, and more) a time of fraternity, fun, and authentic conversation. Women are welcomed to a discernment night with a visiting Sister, featuring prayer, testimony, and open discussion about hearing God’s call in everyday life.

Adoration (Every Thursday)

God is waiting for you

Every Thursday night, the church is open to all ages from 7 p.m. until midnight for silent adoration before the Blessed Sacrament. This is a quiet, unhurried time to sit with Jesus, pour out your heart, listen in silence, and rest in His Presence. Come and go as you are able, whether for five minutes or several hours, and let the Lord renew you in the stillness of His love.

FAQ

Do I need to sign up?

No registration is required, just come as you are. But if you are under 18 years of age, you need your parents to sign a permission slip.

You can arrive at any point in the evening and join in prayer, dinner, sports, or discernment as your schedule allows.

Who can attend?

The 5 p.m. Holy Hour, Vespers, and 6 p.m. free dinner are open to everyone ages 12 and up. From 7–9 p.m., men participate in sports (men only) while women gather separately for the discernment night with a visiting Sister.

What should I bring or wear?

For prayer and dinner, casual modest clothing is fine. Men who plan to play sports should wear comfortable athletic clothes and shoes; all other materials for the evening are provided.

Can I come if I’m not actively discerning a vocation?

Yes. Even if you’re just curious, seeking a deeper relationship with God, or accompanying a friend or family member, you are welcome to join us for adoration, fellowship, and community.
